Zark's Burgers - a place for some Unhealthy yet "Adventurous" Eating

Zark's Burger along Taft
Hello there! Before I begin with this brief review on Zark's Burger, let me just share to you that this is my mom's blog, and I'm just contributing some food articles to jump-start it. Well, actually, I'm the one who convinced my mom to create this blog. Like me (before), my mom finds it difficult to put her thoughts into writing. Hence, I want her to improve on it by writing blog entries her in "A Seamless Wander".

You may not know it, but I did the same thing to improve on my writing skills. Well, I'm not saying that I'm now an expert when it comes to grammar, sentence construction and the like. What I'm actually pointing out is that my writing improved from that of when I wasn't blogging yet.

Alright, sorry for a bit lengthy irrelevant introduction. Let's now begin our brief food review!

When Zark's Burgers opened up in Taft, almost everyone was talking about it! As a matter of fact, even up to know, it still is famous among young foodies (especially students).

I'm actually quite wondering about that because when I visited Zark's, I wasn't impressed about the place, and not even the food.

First off, the color combination chosen for the interior is an eyesore for me. It even exudes an "uneasy" feeling every time I go there, but despite that fact, I still come back here once in a while. However, like I told you, it's not particularly the food, but rather the "affordability and the value for money".

The cheapest burger you can buy here in Zark's Burger is King James' Tomahawk (P95), and you only need to add P30 for either a hand-cut potato chips or fries, and an iced tea.

My only concern about the burgers is the overall food quality. The buns used for the burgers were mediocre (i.e. very puffy and regular tasting). However, I figured out that this was part of the plan, and that is to put a carbo-loaded buns to make customers feel all full after they consume the burger. Still, I don't blame them because you are not paying much (if at all) premiums on the burgers here.

Secondly, the patty used is heavy on the fats albeit tasty. You will usually observe, at the near end (i.e. just before you finish the last bite), that some of the fats will solidify on the roof of your mouth.

But then again, I want to emphasize that I still visit this place once in a while because I just miss the burgers despite what I said above. Maybe it was the rebel within that urges me to dump some dose of unhealthiness into my body, and that gives a sense of freedom and excitement for me. Anyway, what's your take on the burgers here in Zark's? We'd like to hear your opinion.
